Hello I am, Cathy Conrad and I am your candidate for Council in Ward 4. As a long-time resident of Napanee, I have established myself as a respected business woman. I have a wealth of experience in many business environments, and am passionate about making municipal government more efficient and effective for local citizens. I am eager to bring my energy to Council to help make Greater Napanee a more dynamic and inclusive community in which to live and work.

When our new Council is inaugurated on December 4 – at least 4 – and possibly 6 of the 7 members will be new to local government.
I can help by bringing 30+ years of city/town management, local and provincial political, and private business leadership experience to service at the Council table.
I know what it takes to find solutions – navigate complicated governmental agencies – and get things done.
As your representative… I’ll be a diligent and competent bridge between Ward 4 residents and the Town Council and administration.
I’ll be a phone call or a visit away as your resource and advocate to address group and individual Ward concerns.
I commit to what I take on….Do my homework…Engage people and listen for good advice and ideas…And I’m in this to help make solid, sensible and affordable decisions on your behalf.
My objective in running: Help produce and be part of a successful 2018-2022 Council team.

As a resident of Napanee, I feel it’s time for a change in how the town conducts business. As a volunteer on the Town of Greater Napanee Community Development Advisory Commitee, Lennox Condo corp #8 board member, and dealing with the public and business’s on a daily basis, I feel I have a good idea of what the needs and wants of the community are, and we can attain them if we work together.
We need more transparency with the decision making in council, and there should be more of an open forum for discussion with the community on matters that affect us all. As with my career, if elected, I will be available 24/7, via text/call/email and here on social media, everyone’s opinion matters to me, and I will do my best to make sure everyone is heard.
Everyone that knows me would say I’m easy going, honest and genuine, and would do my best to make sure we have a good community that our children will want to come back to after school, and raise families of their own.
Please have your voice heard and vote this fall in the municipal election, it’s time for a change for the better!
