Our Sign By-law is 38 pages long. Over 35 different types of signs are identified, defined and regulated. Flashing or animated signs are prohibited everywhere. However the municipality has exempted itself from this provision and we have a $130,000 flashing sign on the arena advertising businesses in the area.
Do we need this level of regulation in our small Town? Is the by-law enforced?
The sign by-law may be quite appropriate.
